- Tips on taking a standardized test
- Tips on
studying for the Certification Exam
- Test taking practice
* This class WILL NOT teach specific domestic violence information

KATHERINE KLEIN
Katherine is a full time trainer at the Employment Project. She is an Illinois Certified Domestic
Violence Professional, a popular Network speaker and presents regularly for the Centralized Training Institute.
CERTIFICATION INFORMATION
The Illinois Certified Domestic Violence Professionals (ICDVP)
is a voluntary program established to create a recognized profession of domestic violence professionals. To become an
Illinois Certified Domestic Professional you must:
- Complete a 40-Hour Training at an approved
training site
- Complete 150 hours of a direct service with supervision at an approved supervision site
- Take and pass the certification test. The next test will be offered in February 2007.

Introduccion a la Violencia Domestica

A quien va Dirigido: Este entrenamiento está dirigido a todos aquellos
que trabajan con mujeres, niños y familias: trabajadores sociales, promotoras de salud, organizadores comunitarios,
encargadas del cuidado de niños, voluntarias, etc.; y todos los interesados en el tema.
Descripción del Curso: Este
entrenamiento es una introducción al complejo tema de la violencia doméstica, donde los asistentes aprenderán
acerca de las dinámicas que envuelven la violencia, incluyendo lo que es, por qué ocurre y como reconocer los
signos del abuso. En el entrenamiento se proveerá información de como evaluar situaciones de peligro para las
víctimas/sobrevivientes y como asistirlas en crear un plan de seguridad.
