Course Description: Over the years, domestic violence advocates
have learned that it takes a coordinated effort to effectively protect battered women and their children. This training
will provide advocates a better understanding of the effect that domestic violence has on child witnesses, and it will also
provide crucial information on how the child protection system works. Additionally, the training will discuss how to
work together with child protection services to reach positive outcomes; and how to collaborate with child protection agencies
to respond to policy challenges constructively.
